Sole Design Matters More Than Marketing
A shallow sole with a rounded leading edge glides through turf on a sweeping attack angle, while a slightly deeper face can help players with a steeper attack angle compress the ball more efficiently off the deck. Off the tee, the same head needs to hold up on center strikes at driver-adjacent swing speeds without ballooning spin — a balance that shifts significantly between loft options.

Loft choice in fairway woods is a gapping decision relative to your driver and hybrids, not a standalone one.
13–15° (Strong 3-Wood)
Best for faster swing speeds who need a tee-shot option shorter than driver but still penetrating in flight.
15–17° (Standard 3-Wood)
